Each residency begins with a meal that brings together visiting artists and potential collaborators, to get everybody off to a positive, enjoyable and constructive start. Some of these meals are public events, while others are more intimate gatherings.

For CLIMAVORE we hosted a meal on the Rozel breakwater, a small harbour that once housed a fleet of oyster fishing boats. Cooking Sections were joined by Tony Legg of Jersey Sea Farms, Shannon and John of Seymour Oysters, Samantha Blampied from the Société Jersiaise Marine Biology Section, Kevin McIlwee of Jersey Marine Conservation and Jersey Seasearch, Jacqui Carrel of Save our Shoreline Jersey and a few local residents. The Fresh Fish Company provided the shell fish for the stew.
